Fiona If I ever got the chance, I’d really love to go to Egypt to the Valley of the Kings, where all the pharaohs, including Tutankhamen, are buried. I’ve always been completely fascinated by ancient Egyptian history. I’ve read so much about it but it would be brilliant experiencing it first-hand. My brother went a few years ago and has been raving about it ever since. He
took a balloon ride over the Valley. Can you imagine how thrilling it must have been seeing it from the air? His photos are amazing. They show the really stark contrast between the lush, fertile, green land on the east bank of the river Nile and the dry, dusty desert of the Valley of the Kings on the west. The ride must have been expensive but well worth doing.
Bobby Something I’d love to do one day is go for a winter adventure holiday in the Rocky Mountains in Canada. From what I’ve heard, the mountain scenery is totally awe-inspiring, and it sounds like just the place for me because I’m really into adventure activities like skiing, ski-shoeing, dogsledding and that kind of thing – it would be so exhilarating being pulled down a mountain on a dog-sled! And you also get to see all kinds of wild animals like elk, coyotes, cougars, bears ... Mind you, it would be pretty scary coming face to face with a grizzly bear when you least expected it ... oh, and the other thing which kind of appeals is that that part of Canada is renowned for its superb steaks!
